The Birth of the Happiest Place On Earth. - Disney Parks

In 1955 Disney opened there doors in Anaheim, California and introduced the world to the power of imagination. Disneyland was a safe, clean, and polished theme park that kids ages 1-102 that other theme parks of this time could never stand up to. The success and popularity of the Disneyland gave wings to a new project. Disney officials kept moving forward to open doors to Disney world located in Lake Buena Vista FL on October 1st 1971. Today in 2009 Disney has go to infinity and beyond with parks in Hong Kong, Paris, and Tokyo, as well as a Vacation Club, Resorts around the glob, and popular Cruise Line.

Mickey Mouse, everyone's best friend was the first spark for Disney consumer products. After his debut on the cover of a childrens writing tablet the Disney consumer product expanded to Disney Toys, Disney Apparel, Accessories & Footwear, Disney Food, Health & Beauty, Disney Home, Disney Stationery, Disney Publishing and Disneystore.com

Steamboat Willie - Disney Studio Entertainment
Disney Has come far from their 1928 release of Steamboat Willie, Mickey's third film debut. Today Disney Studios distributes pictures and performances under Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Disney Toon Studios, TouchStone Pictures, Miramax Films, Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Disney Theatrical Productions, Disney Live Family Entertainment, Disney On Ice, Walt Disney Records, and Hollywood Records.
